Edward Scissorhands, Tim Burton, 1990 was definitely one of my fave pastel-hued film before Wes Anderson gave us the iconic ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ and ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’. The vibrant, colour-blocked wardrobe, minty fresh interiors and all the other little trinkets, props and details in this film is giving me some rainbow sangria, Jil Sander SS11 and Burbank, California turned utopian Simpson’s Springfield realness.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s courtyard is so dreamy, imagine an intimate little wedding here?? It’s not quite Windsor Castle but its Venetian Palazzo design is definitely very regal and romantic. The courtyard features Roman, Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance elements, a combination that would only work in this space so coherently! The owners travelled across Italy in 1897 to collect architectural fragments which they would later integrate to their eventual museum. This would be one garden wedding location that doesn’t need a lot of dressing up as the floor plan lends itself to the occasion.

Georgia O’Keefe’s Home and Studio in Abiquiú, New Mexico carry the same modernity and tranquility as her floral paintings. The rooms seem built perfect for chilling and reflecting on a lazy Easter Sunday - from the soft, upholstered furnitures, to the white-washed concrete floor and walls illuminating the room with the generous natural light coming from the wide panoramic windows, and even the wooden beams running through the rooms add warmth and comfort that makes me want to cosy up with a book on one of the pouffes in the corner.
